It can sometimes save you so much time when someone just gives you a picture and say “use the copy from that”, humm yeah… I found a very nice web browser extension for chrome:

OCR (Optical Character Recognition) online tools
- free-ocr.com – JPG, GIF, TIFF BMP or PDF (only first page)
- onlineocr.net – Extract text from PDF and images (JPG, BMP, TIFF, GIF) and convert into editable Word, Excel and Text output formats
Find the font used in an image
If you want to find which font is used on a picture, try this web tool WhatTheFont.
You can upload an image or give an url. Then you select characters and see if there is a match with the other fonts.
